Remade materials library at Heimtextil

London design studio FranklinTill curated a Re-made Materials Library at Heimtextil presenting materials that give new life to waste materials. The presentation included the Flax Chair and Vlisco Recycled Carpet. 

The Re-made space was one of the four trend spaces that were created at the fair. 

The Re-Made Space
A phenomenon of urbanisation is the rapid generation of waste. For the first time in history, the amount of waste produced in cities is growing faster than urbanisation itself. To conquer this huge mountain of waste, cities must understand that the future is to put waste on an equal footing with resources. This will make waste a starting point for new design.
